Have had an afternoon tea by Torta twice now. Each time the presentation has been exceptional, and delicious as well. Such a clever touch to have edible garnishes. Would highly recommend.
I ordered afternoon tea from Torta by Katalin for my birthday, finally getting a slot after a few unsuccessful attempts earlier in the year. Booking was easy (after availability was confirmed) and Katie was helpful and quick to respond to any questions about delivery, dietary requirements etc.
On the day, Katie delivered the food, pre-arranged on a cake stand, bang on time, with instructions to pout bottom plate of sandwiches in the fridge.
The food itself was amazing. A mixture of savoury sandwiches, scones and sweet cakes plus loads of fresh fruit and edible flowers. The presentation was stunningly beautiful, and the food was delicious. From the ham salad and harissa mayo wraps to the most deliciously moist chocolate and Nutella cupcakes I’ve ever tasted, this was an afternoon tea to savour and rave about.
I thought twice about writing this review – quite honestly, there’s more chance of me being able to re-order if fewer people know about this gem – but also, probably it’s too extravagant to have afternoon tea every week.
